Wedding Dash 3: Ready, Aim, Love is the 3rd installment in the Wedding Dash series. As part of the Diner Dash series, this game is a fun, time-management game that offers a unique twist from the other games. As with all dash games, you will be able to upgrade your perks to improve performance. But in this game, you will be challenged with a puzzle-like, pre-level step which is important to master but is a bit tricky! Here I have lots of general tips, visual aids, and all the pre-level answers for you if you'd like to make life easier! You can play the usual career mode featuring 50 levels or try your luck with the Endless Reception. You'll push yourself and the patience of your wedding guests to rack up big time chaining bonuses in order to dominate the wedding planning world!
The story behind this game is quite cute. Cupid has fallen a year behind on couples to match and wed. He needs 50 couples to marry asap. Luckily for him, Quinn is a master at planning perfect nuptials in a jiffy. But this friendly hope comes at a price... Quinn jumped the gun and booked her dream wedding venue. The problem is that her wedding date is only 8 weeks away... and that her boyfriend Joe hasn't proposed!!! She needs Cupid to hit him with an arrow so they can have their dream wedding. Cupid agrees to the deal, all the while having difficulty attempting to hit Flo with an arrow. If you'd like to just view the comics, there is that option.
This is the map of 4 of the levels in this game. They will not actually appear in color, and you cannot click on them until you unlock them by completing each level. First is the Aquarium, then the Barnyard, after that is the Boardwalk, then the Skyscraper. Later you will unlock a level that will require you to click a button saying up. You will rise above the skyscraper into the clouds where level 5 is. It is themed as Mt. Olympus, a heavenly, Greek-inspired setting.
Levels
There are the usual 5 locations, each with 10 individual levels and a Cupid game within. Before each level, you can read about your bride and groom. Then you have to play wedding planner and fulfill their requests before you get to the upgrade area and then the level.
#1. Aquarium
The 1st setting you'll be playing in is a pretty aquarium. Also shown are the available upgrades and the Cupid Game setup. You can also see some of the seating requests people will make.
*Seating Requests: Here is your 1st glimpse of the seating bonus setup. You can see people they want to sit by, tables they want to sit at, and people and tables that they where they don't want to sit.
#2. Barnyard
The wedding will take place outside a rustic barn complete with farm animals. It takes place in fall and at sunset giving it a very warm color scheme. Also shown are the available upgrades and the Cupid Game setup.
#3. Boardwalk
Located at the beach right on the water, this evening wedding takes place just after dark. It makes for a beautiful setting with colorful lights of the boardwalk carnival in the background. You can also see the available upgrades and the Cupid Game setup.
#4. Skyscraper
This fancy wedding venue takes place on the rooftop of a skyscraper after dark. There are fountains and a picturesque city skyline in the background. Shown also are the available upgrades and Cupid Game setup.
#5. Cloud Nine
This unique game setting takes place in the sky and clouds above all the other levels. You have to press the "Up" button beside the skyscraper in order to reach it. *A "Down" option will pop up when you are looking at the cloud venue. It looks like Mount Olympus with the Greek architecture.
You can also see the available upgrades and Cupid Game setup.
Characters
Here is a list of the characters in this game. The wedding guests all have specific seating requests. Furthermore, many prefer to sit next to someone in particular or want not to sit next to someone. You'll want to honor their requests in order to win and get expert in each level. The characters are also associated with specific disasters that Quinn will have to quickly handle, or you'll be in some serious trouble. *Keep in mind that the best way to figure out this puzzle of where everyone wants to sit, it's best to make them wait as long as you can. When you 1st start the level, there will be a 1st wave of guests, usually small. You want to keep them waiting as long as possible because soon after there will be another wave. Then you can best accommodate their requests. If you seat people too soon, you may cut off your opportunities to seat them where they would like to be. It's better to lose a little -50 points while they're waiting, if you must, in order to gain the bonus of seating them where they ask. If nothing else, wait until they get irritated, then move them to the tables to wait a bit longer. This will buy you more time.
(I apologize for the poor quality of some of these pictures! It was really hard to find any!)
Disasters
There are several things that can occur in the level and with specific characters which will cost you a wedding victory. Quinn must handle them. Just click on them to fix the problem. Here are all the potential problems.
*If you fail to hurriedly prevent the disaster, this will occur! Brizezilla and Groom Kong will be unleashed, and you will have lost the level.
Gift Table Topple
Sometimes Cupid pops in, and that means he crashes into the gift table sending gifts flying and a potential major wedding disaster. Send Quinn right away to stop the avalanche. You won't be able to drop off presents until the problem is solved. As soon as Quinn is there, you can drop the presents off.
Aunt Rosy Loses Jax
Aunt Rosy loves her little doggy Jax... maybe too much because sometimes he runs away to sniff around the wedding. She breaks into a fit of tears the moment he disappears. Send Quinn to calm her. Then a bubble appears above her head with Jax in it. It will remain until he is returned to her, so return him quickly to keep things moving along. *Jax can usually be found at the top right by the cake table, the bottom right by the dance floor which can be hard to see with all the people on it, and occasionally in the bottom left by Quinn. Drag him back to Rosy. This disaster only occurs just after you complete a step like after picking up presents or when she finishes part of her meal. It can come on suddenly, so pay attention. It won't take long to become a big problem.
Berserk Microphone
Sometimes when he escapes, Jax nibbles on the cord to the microphone, causing it to malfunction. Luckily it is right by Quinn, so handle it immediately. People really don't like the squeaking of a crazy microphone. *It is easy to miss since it isn't located near the guests or tables, but pay attnetion!
Wild Bridesmaids
Sometimes the 3 bridesmaids can have a little too much fun. They start dancing wildly. The bride doesn't like being shown up on her wedding day, so have Quinn pull them together asap or you'll be losing points by the second.
Wedding Crashers
No one wants people there who shouldn't be there. You paid a lot of money for this event, and there are only so many seats. The wedding crashers are easy to identify. Both wear sunglasses. The exit sign in the top right will also illuminate when they are in the line. They try to blend in and even have seating requests. Don't seat them or even put them at the cocktail tables. Just drag them to the sign as soon as you can to get them out of there!
Messy Guests
Sometimes when a party guest leaves the table to go to the dance floor after they are all done, they leave a mess. It will appear in a red, spiky bubble like the other disasters. You can't sit anyone there until it's tidied up. Only Quinn can handle the mess, so have her get to it asap.
Cupid's Mishap
While still trying his hand at nailing Flo, during a level, Cupid may appear and fire an arrow. Unfortunately, it will hit the cook. Send Quinn over there as soon as you see it happen because it is a long walk. The cook will freeze and have hearts for eyes. He won't be able to cook until Quinn snaps him out of it.
When Birds Attack
In the later levels, birds will appear at the chef's table where they will begin eating food already prepared! They will quickly ruin plates, causing you to throw them away and lose big points for wasting items. Send Quinn over there to shoo them away immediately to avoid disaster. It's a long walk for her, so don't delay!
Bonuses
Chaining Bonus
Like any other dash game, doing things in a sequence will earn you mad points and ultimately insure your victory! Try to earn these at all times by seating people at the same time, grabbing presents at the same time, then delivering each course of the meal in a row. In this game, you top out at x5, but that's a whole lot of points that you will need to rule this game! *Remember that the green bonus tasks like giving someone the mic, bringing someone wine, or fulfilling a song request will not affect your chain bonus.
Seating Bonus
When you do as the guests ask by sitting them where they request, your get a nice big bonus. However, it's not so much a bonus as a requirement because it's pretty impossible to earn expert and even win if you don't do this!
Flirt Bonus
If you have the cocktail tables, you can earn a good bonus by setting up a few couples. The couples that will give you a bonus are: Zoe & Brian, Jason and any 3 of the bridesmaids, and the mother of the bride and Uncle Billy. *If you have more than 1 bridesmaid, leave Jason at the cocktail table and keep putting the girls at his table for the bonus then seat them. It's a great way to maximize this bonus, and they're almost always together.
Speech Bonus
Some guests will ask for the microphone to make a speech. It will appear in a green bubble with the microphone inside. Always try to accommodate this request. You will be able to get them all. There is one level where many ask for the mic at once. That one is tough, but if you're fast, you can get them all. It's well worth it for the points. Furthermore, that request will hang over them forever!!! Just get it done so you can move them along.
Wedding Favor Bonus
Once you have the option to use this bonus, definitely do it! Anytime there is a favor and an open sit, fill it in. It is a great way to gain paints and could help you win or earn expert. Quinn's not doing anything, and it doesn't affect any of your bonuses. It's definitely worth it.
Punch Bonus
Once you have the punch fountain, some guests will ask for it. It's a great way to make some extra points without affecting your chain bonus. It will appear in a green bubble over their heads with a glass of punch in it. It will stay there for a long time, so fulfill it to get things moving again. Sometimes the bride and groom request it. It's their wedding. You can totally get it to them in time, though they aren't as patient about it as others. *You can grab more than 1 glass at a time.
Song Request
Some guests will ask to have the dj play a song. It appears in a green bubble. Inside a sheet of music will have a big musical note on it. Deliver it to the dj for some extra points. It will linger above them for a while, so pick up the song to get things moving.
Move Around Bonus
Later in the game, guests will request a seat change during the meal. This can be a real pain. If you can't accommodate, just move them to move things along. Your top priority is the chain bonus as that is the most lucrative option. You won't lose that much if you don't accommodate them, but it's nice to make the extra points where you can. Plus, they won't move on until you move them somewhere.
Disaster Averted Bonus
This bonus occurs when you have Quinn handle a potential disaster. It's nice that it gives you bonus for something that you really have to do anyway. The faster you fix the problem, the bigger the bonus.
Upgrade Tips
Some upgrades are less important than others. You'll want to upgrade some of them asap to be successful. Wrong sequencing could make your job really difficult and cost you levels or expert status. Do them in this order to guarantee success and a less stressful experience.
#1. Chef
Upgrade the chef's speed as soon as possible. Waiting for food to be made will cost you a lot of time when chaining. It's cheap to get him moving faster, so make that your 1st purchase.
#2. Flo
Upgrade Flo's speed next since she is doing so much work. You need her to move quickly to keep everyone patient and move them out faster so those in line won't lose patience.
#3. Extra hands
As you rack up more points, you want to buy the little flying cherubs. Having 2 extra hands will save your life! They cost almost 2,000 total, so it may take a little saving to earn them. But it's so worth it. It makes chaining easier and gets things moving along. If you buy them before you upgrade the chef, you'll still be waiting around for food! Make sure the chef is faster 1st.
#4. Cocktail Tables
You will want to buy the cocktail tables now. They aren't very expensive. It will give you 4 slots to keep people patient while waiting in line. Plus, you can earn lots of Flirt Bonuses which can often lead you to the path of expert!
#5. Seats
Upgrade the seats so people don't freak out while you're chaining lots of people at once. It's bad enough when the people in line are impatient, but you can lose points while they're seated as well.
#6. Quinn
Now you can upgrade Quinn. She doesn't need to move too quickly. She can get there in time as she is. But if you have the extra coins at any time, go ahead and give her a little boost. it will move along those pesky special requests like the speech bonus, punch, song requests, and preventing disasters. In levels 4 and 5, you'll at least need to upgrade her once early on because some disasters take place at the chef table, a long walk for her causing her to not get there in time.
#7. Chimes
If you can buy the chimes, now's a great time to do that. Ringing those bells could make all the difference in winning a level and making expert. If you have the cocktail tables, you really won't need them more than once or twice a level, even at its most difficult.
#8. Coffee Machine
The last thing you should worry about is the coffee machine. You can win just fine and make expert without it. It's an unnecessary purchase. Save it for the very end once everything else is upgraded. Honestly, trying to stop for coffee takes time away from just serving everyone and moving them out. Plus the buzz doesn't last very long. It's just not worth it.
General Tips
You will not win without chaining. People are patient enough. Let them wait as long as you can in line before seating them. Once seated, they'll calm down. Try to wait until everyone's seated so you can pick up all their gifts at once for a big chain. Keep them in line or set them at cocktail tables to insure you get the most out of chaining.
People come in waves. The 1st wave is always pretty small. Make them wait until a next wave comes. This will help you solve the puzzle on where to put them. If you don't know who's coming next, you won't be able to seat them properly. You could unknowingly block yourself. These seating bonuses are important. If there are 3 or 4 seats still empty, take your time to see if a few more come along to fill in the blanks. This usually happens. Before they get too impatient, pick up their presents.
When people ask not to sit next to someone, once sat, that will go away after a few seconds. Once it's gone, you can sit anyone next to them without any negative consequence! Very useful tip!
Always play the Cupid Game. Take your time to get all the couples in a row. You can get almost 1,000 extra points this way in the later levels. Doing this right will help you unlock the more expensive upgrades like the useful cherubs. If you miss one, just hit restart to try it again. It's worth it to get this right and earn more upgrade points.
The pre-level puzzles of sorts can be annoying and tricky. Pay close attention to the wording of the bride and groom's request. It is very exact to the choices you'll need to make. Focus on the names and colors of the choices, because those are the biggest clues.
If you want to solve the little pre-level puzzles yourself, you can always be wrong and simply restart when you get to the level. You can do that as much as you need. Most often, you will have solved it perfectly if you are $25 under budget. That is a hugely useful tip! It's worth it to get it right because there are a lot more points available for upgrades!
If you'd like an easy guide to mastering each of the choices, here is a list complete with screenshots from the game. *Sometimes they appear in a different order.
So Many Choices
Before each level, you'll have to pick the menu and decor for the wedding. You can choose from the meal, cake, cocktail, and the decor for the bride and groom's table. Each level asks for different things, either 3 or 4 choices you'll need to make. Read carefully what they are asking for. Most of the time, the names and colors of the items will lead you to the correct choice. If you just want to skip the trivia and get to the game, here are all the pre-level choices you'll need to make.
